My most recent work has been for Prosperi Studio. They had a site that had tried to cover everything they’re doing, and, really wasn’t doing any of it successfully. We built a coherent theme, and presented Prosperi Studio in three ways: The Prosperi Studio main site, which serves as an general introduction to their work. See that here: ProsperiStudio.com. It’s useful as a Curriculum Vitae, and as a point of departure for exploring the more specialized work the artist does.
Portraits are a large part of what Prosperi Studio does, and the clients are primarily interested in learning more about Prosperi’s portraits specifically. ProsperiStudioPortraits.com is devoted exclusively to portraiture, targeting the client’s needs and interests. See that here: ProsperiStudioPortraits.com
Finally, Warren Prosperi has a body of work that is deeply personal, and rooted in his earliest development as a fine artist, yet with lasting and profound significance: The Symbolist Series. A continuing series throughout his career, yet often relegated to a back seat to his more commercial work, Prosperi has committed to giving the work the attention it deserves, in part through the site The New Symbolist. The Brickyard Collaborative is a perfect example of a project with a lot of moving parts, and, though a simple concept, a complex story to tell in entirety.
The site integrates a calendar of events, registration pages, a blog that cross-posts to Facebook, video posts and other facets. The site is the cornerstone of the community surrounding the makerspace, and has to integrate into social media – primarily Facebook, but also Instagram, where much of the community is active. Building a Website: The Strategy
Sites demand a global view of the audience, and, most importantly, an understanding of the user experience. Copy must fit the task, the images and video must be compelling, but nothing can obstruct the user experience. Why is the user on the site? What do they want? What are they looking for?
While technology gives us tools for reaching out, entertaining, and engaging users, the technology can never be the focus of the site experience.
Other sites I’ve worked on recently:
I work with WordPress, primarily, but also with WIX.
